Thanksgiving *dramatic music*

Ahhh Thanksgiving....The wonderful day where we gorge ourselves to the extent where we explode and then eat some more. I love this holiday. I get to spend the day with my family and friends. It was most enjoyable. It was also murder on my diet. So I kind of justgave up on tracking points and just enjoyed what I had. So after 4 days of delicious food eating I gained .4 of a pound. I am sad that I gained weight but it was worth it, everything was delicious.\

So on to Black Friday. There really was nothing that I absolutly needed to have or was cheap enough to stand out in the cold for so I didn't get up early and freeze my bottom off. I did get some nice cheap gifts for family and spent all my money. It was good.

I picked up a new hobby! I have started to make these perler bead video game figures. Its very addicting and my darling boyfriend Jesse is going crazy about it. He is making a list of everything he can think of so I can make them for him. I don't mind I like how amazed everyone is when I show them.

I also have 4 different crochet projects I am working on before christmas. I have something for my sister that needs to be done by saturday. I have a chicken tea pot cover that needs to be done in 3 weeks and I have 2 pink sweaters that need to be done for Christmas. Yikes I am busy.

Also I am in the home stretch of my semester. I ave two weeks and then its finals and I am going crazy. I want to cry at the amount of work I have to do. One 2.5 page paper due this Wednesday, one 7 page paper due the 8th, 3 extra credit assignments due the 8th and 3 other final exams to study for and all I want to do is stay in my nice warm apaartment and make perler bead figures. Ha.

So WW is starting a new program called PointsPlus and this will be the first week I try it. I am really hoping by the end of this week I will be at atleast 154, if I could get the 152 I will be exstatic. Let's hope for the best.

Weekend was fun

The weekend was nice. Spent time with my family and mostly stayed on my diet. I splurged a little on some mexican food but it tasted good.

Also lost 4 pounds at my weight in!

Day 1 (in review)

Well this lifestyle change (I am no longer calling it a diet) is definitely a wake up call. No wonder I am as big as I am! Everything I ate was horrible for me; it was all loaded with fat and high in calories. But the best thing you can do is realize what you did wrong and what you can do better, right?

What did I learn on day 1, you ask? I learned that extra virgin olive oil, while good for you, is EXTREMELY high in points, like 4 points per tablespoon high. So while I thought I was being healthy with my homemade dressing it actually cost me 8 of my 25 points. But the positive thing that came out of that is I got to be very creative with my dinner.
My day in review:

Breakfast:
2 cups of coffee = 0 points
2 tbsp creamer = 1 point
1 packet Quaker Oats maple and brown sugar oatmeal = 3 points

Lunch:
1 cup raw baby carrots = 0 points
2 tbsps fat free ranch dressing = 1 point
1 cup mixed salad greens = 0 points
1 1/2 small serving grilled skinless boneless chicken thigh = 4.5
1 1/3 serving Mc Cormik salad toppins = 1 point
1/2 crystal light pure fitness (mix in water) = 0 points
And my home made olive oil/balsamic vinegar dressing = 8 points (it was very good though)

Dinner:
1 1/2 cup whole wheat pasta = 4.5 points
1/4 cup marinara sauce = 1 point
1//4 cup spinach cooked = 0 points
1/4 cup cilantro cooked = 0 points
1/8 cup onions cooked = 0 points
(dinner was delicious, I love putting different veggies in my sauce)

Snack:
1 small Mandarin orange = .5 point
1/4 cup apples dried = 1 point

Daily total 25.5! Hey that's not bad for my first day. I didn't get any exercise in thought :( so I will make up for it today by taking my doggie out for a nice long walk/run.

So far so good, first real weight in on Sunday so if I can lose 1 pound by then I will be pretty happy.

Day 0

I am making this blog to chronicle my weight loss journey.

I am not losing weight to be a tiny little size 2 (but hey that would be nice ;) ) I am losing weight to live a long and healthy life. My goal is to eventually get down to the weight I was in high school -- 115-120. Since this blog is going to be a no holds blog, my current weight is 160. :( But hey I have already made the first step by signing up for weight watchers online and I convinced my mom to join so we can do this together.

I am going to try to do some form of exercise everyday. I have wii active that i have used once in my life. XD I have a standing up exercise bike. I have fitness dvds. I have my aluminum water bottle and my weight watchers app on my phone. I can do this and I will do this.
